Contribute to 'Migrant Knowledge'

Please email submissions of about 2,000 words to the editors and include a note about your academic qualifications. We will let you know as soon as possible if your piece is a good fit and if any changes are necessary. The blog posts will then be edited before publication.

Contributions must be original texts, unless we have explicitly discussed a rare exception and clarified the rights situation.

The blog format makes it possible to offer preliminary results, tentative conclusions, short think pieces, source discussions, and more. It can also make sense to discuss work you have done that is inaccessible to a broader educated public, whether because of complexity, language, or paywalls.

The prose can be formal or informal, depending on the content of the piece and your own preferences. Please keep in mind, however, that the online reading experience can be different from more traditional engagement with academic texts.

Footnotes are permitted but should be used more sparingly than in a conventional academic publication. Please follow the note format in the Chicago Manual of Style.

Desired hyperlinks should be inserted in parentheses after the relevant section of text.

If you wish to use images, please include them as separate files along with a file containing the necessary captions, source details, and information about publication rights.

Email submissions to migknow@ghi-dc.org.
