In October, Allison Schmidt “[interrogated] perceptions of smugglers with Joseph Roth.” Now Ulf Brunnbauer and Andrea Westermann are devoting an “academic and policy symposium” to the subject: Contested Meanings of Migration Facilitation: Emigration Agents, Coyotes, Rescuers, and Human Traffickers.
